The Swedish Tax Agency is strengthening its IT delivery to more authorities and is looking for a Linux technician who wants to work with IT operations in critical environments.

About the job
As a Linux technician, you will be part of the operations team at the Swedish Tax Agency's Technical Service Unit (STT), where we work with complex solutions built on leading technology to ensure stability and meet high demands for availability and IT security. In this role, you will be a central part of a competent team focused on RHEL and PaaS services, where your work has a direct impact on accessible and secure operations.
In this role, you will work in a team with daily operational Linux operations. You will perform deployments in production environments and be responsible for maintenance and management of Linux environments as requested. You will work with incident and alert management, participate in problem investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements.

The position includes on-call duty according to a schedule and work during planned service windows. The work takes place on-site at the office in Sundbyberg. It is important for us that you have a balance between work and leisure.

About you

In this job, you should:

- have the ability and willingness to learn new things, be flexible, and open to change
- take responsibility for your tasks and be able to work independently
- have good collaboration skills, be a good team player, helpful, and have a positive attitude
- express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
You should also have:
- relevant higher education in IT or equivalent work experience in the above areas that the employer deems relevant
- several years of relevant and current work experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux operations and administration
- relevant work experience with automation tools and scripting, such as Ansible
It is desirable to have:
- relevant experience in operations in large IT environments
- work experience in networking and storage solutions in virtual environments
- experience working in middleware environments, including application and web servers such as Weblogic Server, Tomcat, and Apache
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
Due to the nature of the tasks, there is no possibility to work from home in this job.
